Branch Library, LLC is honored to collaborate with the Pima County (AZ) Office of the Medical Examiner and DNAhawkshaw Genetic Genealogy to utilize Investigative Genetic Genealogy (IGG) in generating leads towards the identification of Avra Valley Jane Doe 1984.
The remains of this unidentified female, aged between 50 to 90 years old, were discovered on February 1st, 2000. They were found by dove hunters within the Santa Rita Experimental Range, an ecological research area south of Tucson managed by the University of Arizona. She has remained unidentified for over twenty-four years.
In a strategic alliance, a team of independent IGG analysts have partnered with Intermountain Forensics to leverage their newly established Law Enforcement DNA Testing Fund to cover lab costs. Generous donations from individual donors directly supports this collaborative effort.
